Will of John Govett Clothier of Wiveliscombe - probate 1802

In the Name of God Amen I John Govett of Wiveliscombe in the County of Somerset Clothier being of sound mind and memory do make this my last Will and Testament revoking all former Wills heretofore by me made Imprimis I give and bequeath to my daughter Dorothy Webber three guineas and the house she now lives in during my interest in the same I give and bequeath to my daughter Grace Treays three guineas and the house that she now lives in during my interest in the same I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Hancock five guineas I give and bequeath to my daughter Joan Rogers five guineas I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Dyer five guineas I give and bequeath to my daughter Ann Rockett two guineas I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Govett two guineas I constitute ordain and appoint Thomas Young of Milverton in the county aforesaid Draper my executor in trust for the following legacies I give and bequeath to Joan Treays my granddaughter twenty five pounds when she is married or attains the age of twenty one years in case she shall die before she is married or attains the age of twenty one years then the twenty five pounds shall be paid to my Executrix hereinafter named by my Executor in Trust or his survivor I give and bequeath to my grandson George Rogers ten pounds when he attains the age of twenty one years in case he shall die before he attains the age of twenty one years then to be paid to my executrix as aforesaid I give and bequeath to my granddaughter Sarah Webber daughter of Dorothy Webber ten pounds when she is married or attains the age of twenty one years in case she shall die before she is married or attains the age of twenty one years then to be paid to my Executrix as aforesaid I give and bequeath to my granddaughter Barbara Hancock five pounds when she is married or attains the age of twenty one years in case she shall die before she is married or attains the age of twenty one years then to be paid to my Executrix as aforesaid I give and bequeath to my grandson John Rockett twenty five pounds when he attains the age of twenty one years in case he shall die before he attains the age of twenty one years then to be paid to my Executrix as aforesaid lastly I constitute ordain and appoint my daughter Margaret otherways Pagey Govett my whole and sole Executrix of all my wordly goods and effects whatsoever I shall sit possessed of my legacies being first paid which shall be in three months next after my decease In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the twenty seventh day of March One thousand seven hundred and ninety seven John Govett Signed and sealed in the presence of John Collard Edward Smyth

This Will was proved at London on the twenty fourth day of November in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and two before the right honourable Sir William Wynn Knight Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of Margaret otherwise Pagey Govett wife of John Hill Govett daughter of the daughter of the deceased and the sole Executrix named in the said Will to whom administration was granted of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased having been first sworn by the commission duly to administer.
