Fern Grove, Warbstow Cross

Fern Grove is the next house to Trelawney House and the site of the blacksmith's shop. It is down the track towards Tredown from Warbstow Cross. It is understood the house has also been known as Little Tredown.

It was definitely owned by Richard Gynn Trease on 29th April 1911 as an entry to this effect has been found in the Warbstow Rate Book.

Two years later the house was owned by Richard's son, James Gynn Trease, who signed a will on 3rd May 1913 whereby he made provision for his father and mother or survivor of them 'to occupy rent free .... my freehold dwellinghouse known as Fern Grove...'
