Fuges, Week St. Mary, Cornwall

Fuges, Week St Mary Richard Parsons moved from Whitstone to live at Fuges sometime between 1855 and 1861. He and Jane appear to have spent the rest of their lives there until Richard died there in 1882 and Jane died there in 1890. At the time of Jane's death, the house was also occupied by her son-in-law William Carr. Currently we know nothing more about William Carr.

In September 2004 the house had grounds of 11 acres including some woods which had regularly changed hands in poker games between locals according to the then owner! Before that it had grounds of 8 acres. It is not known what grounds Richard had available to him.

The aerial photograph shown opposite shows the house with a thatched roof. By 2004 this had been replaced with tiles.
