Photograph of Louie

This photograph, which was in the possession of Marjorie Mitchell, is thought to be of Louie as a young lady.

The photographer used is the same one used for this photograph of Minnie, but the photographer's card used here is more elaborate.

Both Minnie and Louie are recorded in the 1881 census as living with their Aunt Jane Brown (nee Trease) in Balsall Heath, Birmingham. Minnie was then 15 and Louie was 10. It may be that the two photos were taken when they were staying with their Aunt Jane but Louie looks at least 15 in this photo, implying that she may have remained with her Aunt until the mid 1880's.
