Photograph of Nos 12, 14 & 16 Malvern Road

This is a copy of a photograph which was in the possession of the late Marjorie Mitchell. The original was an unmounted sepia photograph measuring 8.25" x 6.75" and with no marking apart from 731 in pencil on the back.

The photograph shows from left to right, numbers 12, 14, and 16 Malvern Road. Numbers 14 and 16 were the houses originally named "Hazelhurst" and "Lyndhurst" which William had built for his two unmarried daughters Polly and Louie.

In the absence of further identification it is difficult to date the photograph but it seems probable it was taken about 1950. The reason for taking it is unclear but it may be that "Hazelhurst", the house in the middle, was being put up for sale.
