Unfortunately we have no photographs of John Whitehouse, Mary Whitehouse nee Trease, nor of their children, Louisa and John.
The only personal information we have is from when Louisa made contact with Professor George Trease in 1968. George had done considerable research into the early history of the family and was able to provide Louisa with information on the early history of the Trease family but was unable to confirm whether she was a descendant of the same family. He also gave her contact details of Miss Iva Margaret Brown who had raised a similar query (and who, we now know, was the granddaughter of Jane Brown nee Trease).

Louisa sent three letters, all of them written on her behalf by a Mrs Louisa Renwick who was, at the time, living at 105 Holifast Road, Sutton Coldfield and was presumably a close friend. Copies are shown below.
