Frances was born during 1800 in Jacobstow, Cornwall the daughter of William Trease and Martha Uglow and granddaughter of John Trease and Ann Smeeth.
After her father’s retirement from the Excise Service to Tresmeer , Cornwall she married during 1828 at Tresmeer Church, William Turner, a witness being Frances' brother Thomas. From Census Returns William’s place of birth is given as Jacobstow, Cornwall and he appears to have been about 10 years older than her but to date his exact date of birth and the names of his parents have not yet been ascertained.
William appears to have had two careers, farmer and schoolmaster. Frances and William had three children, all daughters but no grandchildren.
William died age 65 during 1857 probably in Tresmeer and Frances died in Warbstow age 66 during 1867. Both are buried in Tresmeer Churchyard.

• daughter Martha Trease born about 1829. Nothing more is known of her life except that she died at North Petherwin, (then Devon now Cornwall) early during 1848, age only 18 and is buried in Tresmeer Churchyard.
  
  
• daughter Jane born about 1830/1 in Egloskerry . She lived with her parents until their deaths and became a School Mistress living in Warbstow . She continued living there with her younger sister Fanny Trease until her death at the age of 80 during 1911. She is buried in a joint grave with her sister Fanny Trease alongside the graves of her parents and sister Martha Trease in Tresmeer Churchyard.
  
  
• daughter Fanny Trease born about 1834/5 in Egloskerry. She also lived with her parents until their deaths and became a School Mistress living in Warbstow . She continued living there with her older sister Jane until her death at the age of 76 during 1911. She is buried in a joint grave with her sister Jane alongside the graves of her parents and sister Martha Trease.
