This branch covers the descendants of James Trease and Elizabeth Gynn to the first half of the last century. James was a blacksmith in Warbstow, Cornwall. Three of his children emigrated to Australia, and one emigrated to North America. Of his sons who stayed in England, the youngest, Richard, remained in Warbstow to continue the family blacksmith business but his family died out in the male line. The other surviving son James trained as a carpenter and went to Camborne - descendants of his bearing the Trease surname have continued living in the area.
