GenerationThis branch died out in the male line when Michael's only grandson, John, died childless in 1882.
All male descendants shown were West Country "yeoman" farmers except for one who became a doctor. This is the last tree where farming is the predominant occupation and marks the end of the farming era for those of the Trease family who chose to stay in the UK. Although the families and their way of life have long gone, many of the buildings which once reverberated with the sounds of their families have survived as Grade 2 listed buildings. These include Lee Barton - Morwenstow, Rectory - Morwenstow, Peruppa - Mevagissey, Pennant - St. Endelion, South Harepath - Beaford, and The Hermitage - Exwick, Exeter.
